Frequently Asked Questions
-
At Blue Light, we believe music is for anyone. Our program is designed to be flexible and adaptable, offering a variety of musical experiences to suit each individual's interests and goals. We have something for students of all abilities!
-
While we greatly value the field of music therapy, Blue Light is not a therapy program. Our focus is on providing an enjoyable and enriching musical experience, fostering creativity, and building confidence. We encourage students to explore their musical passions and express themselves freely, without the pressure of specific outcomes.
-
The Blue Light Music Program operates on a flexible, ongoing enrollment model rather than a set session length. Students can participate as long as they remain enrolled, with agency-referred students typically starting with a minimum of one month’s tuition ($250) covered by their referring agency. We recommend agencies contribute two months or more to provide students with a more consistent and immersive experience.
For families enrolling privately, the program runs on a month-to-month basis, allowing students to continue as long as they choose. There are no long-term contracts, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all participants.
-
We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Our instructors are experienced in working with neurodiverse individuals and are dedicated to adapting their teaching styles to meet each student's unique needs. We offer a variety of accommodations, flexible scheduling options, and individualized support to ensure every student feels comfortable and empowered to participate fully in the program.
-
No, we don’t currently offer one-to-one lessons. However, our small instructor-to-student ratios ensure that each student receives individualized attention within our group classes. We believe group sessions offer unique benefits—students can learn from each other, collaborate, and gain confidence working with their peers in a supportive environment. This setting encourages creativity, teamwork, and mutual growth, making it a valuable experience for every participant.
-
Yes, if you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice, you’ll receive a make-up credit that can be used to book a session within the same "stage" (age group), provided there is availability. Make-up credits are valid for 30 days from the missed class date, allowing some flexibility to find a suitable session.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we do our best to accommodate missed classes whenever possible. While we strive to offer make-up options, the high volume of students means that availability may be limited. Please inform us in advance if your student will be absent, and we’ll do our best to find a make-up session that works within the 30-day window.

READY TO GET STARTED?

1. Book A Demo Session
All students begin by attending a free demo session, which gives the family and care team a chance to experience the program and determine if it's a good fit.
Request a demo session using the button below and be sure to include t agency contact info so we know the family is working with a referring partner.
2. Discuss Enrollment and Funding Options
After the demo, our team will follow up with the family to see if they’d like to move forward.
• Families may choose to enroll privately through our self-pay option.
• If the Child-Family Team determines financial support is needed, the referring agency may choose to provide a scholarship. If a scholarship will be requested, the Child-Family Team should determine:
• The number of months the student will participate (minimum 1 month at $250/month)
• The total contribution amount the agency will provide
Scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of the referring agency and may cover one or more months of participation.
3. Scholarship Processing
If a scholarship is approved by the agency, we will generate an invoice based on the number of months the agency is supporting (e.g., $250 for one month, $750 for three months) and send it to the agency’s billing contact.
Once the invoice is paid, the student’s account will be credited and ready for enrollment!
4. Rock and Roll!
Whether the student is enrolling with a scholarship or through self-pay, our team will walk the family through the rest of the process and confirm everything is set.
